A little late but here's our first Christmas with Parker! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures but of course my memory card had to decide to be full after taking only one picture, I even had to delete some just so I could get some more. Our Christmas was filled with lots of family get togethers as always. We are blessed to live next to both of our families so we were able to spend time with both our families. With tradition Christmas eve was spend with the Pulley family. We usually all gather at Grandma Pulley's for dinner, sing Christmas carols, and open the Christmas Eve pajamas. This year because of her health we celebrated and Frank's parents house. A little different but still fun none the less. On Christmas day we always go to Frank's parents first. We open gifts, and by open gifts I mean be prepared for a new wardrobe and pretty much everything you need and want. We always appreciate everything they do for us. My first Christmas with them I thought I had struck the jackpot. I never expected so many gifts. I always describe it as having divorced parents. I know this is a horrible analogy but it fits. I felt like I got two Christmas's. I felt so spoiled. We then have breakfast which is always french toast with bacon and sausage. One of the things I love about my husband's family is that they are rich in tradition. Both sides always have a Christmas party the same time every year, the Parker family even has a family reunion at Cherry Hill every year. After Frank's family we took Parker home for a nap and then later went to my family's. My brother was even able to come home from Texas to spend Christmas with us. I always enjoy my mom's gifts. She usually makes something for me and get's me something that I've really needed and wanted. Like this year it was a new, much needed, purse. She also got this clock that could hold pictures which was really cute. And as always my mom made a turkey dinner. I love her turkey and stuffing. I was even able to attempt my own turkey for Thanksgiving and for Christmas Eve. After a practice run for Thanksgiving, my Christmas Eve turkey turned out perfect! Anyways we were truly blessed this Holiday season to spend time with family, I was even lucky to have Frank the entire week after, which is always nice.

Was Parker more interested in the wrapping paper than the actual toy? That's how Avery was. But it was still so much fun to celebrate christmas with a child! I still need to get a post up with christmas pictures! I am totally slacking!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the wranglers. So cute!
