Exhaustion is an understatement
To say that I'm exhausted would be a total understatement. We recently took Parker to the Dr. because he was just getting so fussy to the point that he couldn't even eat. I first thought acid reflux, but then he would do this grunting thing and would curl up into a ball as if in pain so I thought maybe he was just struggling to go to the bathroom. I tried everything, but it just seem to get worse, so we took him to the Dr. on Monday. They said they think it's acid reflux, which now that I look at it I definately think that's what it is. Anyways, so they gave him some medicine that hopefully should start helping, but until then I'm dying. I feel horrible to watch him in pain, his face will just turn bright red and he'll groan and it just makes me feel awful. Then he wants to eat atleast every two hours if not more, and I've been trying to give it to him in a bottle cause it seems to go down easier. So my life right now is pump, feed him, then he's up for about an hour, then falls asleep, and then I start pumping again. Not to mention I have to do everything while trying to keep him sitting up like changing diapers, and feeding, and hope that it doesn't hurt him. I haven't had five seconds to do anything. The only reason I can write this is because Frank took the next few days off of work. Anyways, not to complain for the most part it's just I really feel horrible to see him in pain. I know he's so miserable, and it makes me feel bad I didn't know sooner and it's gotten worse, I just hope this medicine starts working soon!

PARKER HAS ARRIVED!
After lying in bed for three hours deciding whether what I was feeling was real labor or not I finally decided I better go to the hospital, so I rolled over to wake Frank up. I told him I was having contractions and I needed to go to the hospital. I don't think he wanted to believe me at first because he just kept rolling over and ignoring me. Once I finally convinced him to get up you would think he might kind of hurry, but not Frank. After making the bed and taking the garbage out to the sidewalk, because you know those things can't wait, we were off to the hospital. We stayed at the hospital for an hour and because my contractions weren't regular and I hadn't made any progress they sent me home with pain medicine and told me to take a bath to help with the pain. So I went home and went back to bed. Needless to say the pain did not go away, and were getting increasingly worse. Even before I had left the hospital the pain had doubled. After sitting in bed for another hour I got up to take a bath, which only made things worse. I finally decided I better get back to the hospital or else this kid was going to be born in this tub. When I got back to the hospital I was far enough along that they admitted me this time (technically I was the first time too, but that's a whole other story.) First thing I did was got my epidural. After a few hours I started pushing, one hour after that Parker finally graced us with his presence on March 19, 2009. He was 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 19.5 in. long. He came face up, and with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. He let out a quick cry, they laid him on my chest, and then quickly took him down to the nursery. Although I was nervous, I did have a sense of peace that everything would be ok, and they were. Frank said as soon as they gave him a bath his color came back and he looked much better. What an experience! Life hasn't been the same since. He has brought so much joy to our home, and for me a lot of sleepless nights, or atleast very little. Even with that said, I feel so blessed to have him, and I know Frank feels the same way; he just loves his little boy:) What a miracle!
