Well Parker finally has a reason for all the extra drool, he got his first tooth today! It just blows me away how big he's gotten. He's been learning so many things lately it's been so much fun. He's been sitting up on his own now for about a month, although he still tips over every once and awhile. He's learning so many new noises, but lately I think it's all about the screaming and squealing. He goes nuts over his puppy, I just sit him up to the window and he just laughs and laughs. He also has been really good about trying new foods. It was a little touch and go at the beginning but now he eats just about anything, although sometimes he makes some funny faces but he still keeps eating it. He's still not too interested in crawling or being on his tummy, but that's ok because I know the day he figures it out he'll be all over the place and into everything. Parker has been such a joy in our family I can't imagine life without him! He's full of smiles and giggles for anyone and everyone and every day is a new adventure!

Apple Sauce
So as many of you know I've been trying to get Parker started on baby food and was having no luck. I gave him rice cereal at first and he loved it, but by the third day wanted nothing to do with it. So I kind of laid off of it for awhile and tried again with oatmeal since it's not suppose to be constipating. I tried it with formula, apple juice, and peaches all of which were refused profusely. I tried plain peaches which he ate maybe one spoonful of..kind of. I've been trying all these things off and on since he was about 5 1/2 months, until my mom made some apple sauce which I have to say is quite sweet. The first day he let me kind of put a spoonful or two in, but by the second day (today) he was actually willingly opening his mouth when he saw the spoon coming! I didn't have to coax him into opening hardly at all! So I've decided he's just like his daddy, major sweet tooth..jk! Yay victory! I thought for awhile he'd never willingly open his mouth to food. Now we're just dealing with the napping thing. I've been trying to just stretch him until he's really tired and then feed him his bottle and he goes right to sleep. I just wish I didn't have to have the fussing for an entire hour prior, but he did the same thing when I'd try to put him to sleep earlier, what do you do? Seriously any ideas? I'm thinking this is just Parker's personality and we'll always battle him with naps. Once he falls asleep though he's been sleeping 2 hours at a time which has been nice, rather than an hour awake hour asleep. Anyways that's my life these days!
