Wow, so i kind of feel like I'm at my wits end. Parker is still waking up every 3 hours! At the end of 2 months he had started doing better, but ever since I went back to work he has reverted back to going back to every 3 hours. I need sleep! I've tried just about everything, short of letting him just cry. I tried giving him a bottle of formula which he drank just enough to kind of fill him(or until he realized what he was drinking) and I put him back to sleep, the next night I gave him water..I'm so mean.. I'm just tired of getting up 3 times a night. He still eats every two hours during the day, the Dr. said it's probably because of his acid reflux that he chooses to eat less more often which I'm sure plays a big role on him getting up at night. I feel like his reflux is tons better I just think he's stuck in this habit, sometimes I think it's my fault too because I feed him sometimes before we go places just so I don't get stuck somewhere with a crying baby cause he's hungry. I'm getting close to where I want to switch him to formula, but sometimes I think that can be a pain too. My fear is that it won't help and I'm stuck at night trying to make bottles up. It would be nice though to be able to go places and just make him a bottle. We've tried giving him a bottle a day, I like to give Frank this chore, but you know how Frank is, half the time he's no where to be found(don't tell him this though he thinks he's always home;). Anyways, I'm sorry this is kind of like my complaint journal. I am grateful that Parker is a very easy going baby, all considering he's very happy(it's just his mother with issues) Anyway I need sleep, help!

My advice is to let him cry. I know it's hard but it won't hurt him and you need your sleep. I remember when we first started letting Kayston cry. I cried right along with him but it only took a couple of nights and he did SOOO much better. We did this earlier with Bry and she is the BEST sleeper ever! She was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt will be hard but so worth it. I promise!!
Good luck!!
Oh he is adorable in those sunglasses. What are these kids thinking?!?!? They need to learn how to take a good nap.
ReplyDeleteHey we are coming to Utah on Sunday for a week so we will have to get together if you are not too tired and I am not too tired!!!!
