Back Home

I didn't think I'd make it through those two weeks, it was really hard, but it makes me appreciate being home. Although, I'm really glad his Dr.'s appt. is tomorrow cause I don't think I could last much longer. For those of you who don't know Parker has issues with being able to go to the bathroom, and between that and his acid reflux I've had a really hard time nursing him. I've gone back and forth with switching him to formula, but I think I'm ready to make the switch. It's been hard to have him cry all the time when you feed him and to not know whether its he just has to go the bathroom or a belly ache or if it's me and something I'm eating, or that I don't have enough for him, that and he still wants to eat every two hours, except for lately, and I can't tell whether he's hungry or just upset, I'm just at loss. The other thing is that he's typically a happy baby so I feel like everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. Oh and I think I'm switching his Dr. we'll see though, so if anyone has any recommendations of a Dr. I'd gladly hear. Anyway well we'll see what the Dr. has to say tomorrow. I feel like I'm just crazy or something cause everyone else seems to have these kids that sleep through the night and have no issues and I feel like maybe I'm just crazy. Don't get me wrong though I do love Parker, I just wish he'd feel better or I knew what was wrong. But I am definately glad to be home!

  1. though my problems with both babies have been different i think i know how you feel. nursing can be a real struggle. with keith it was just horrible and the fight between really wanting to nurse and needing some sanity was just too much so he only lasted 3 months, but the good news is it probably won't be the same for your next child (assuming you plan to have another one at some point =)

  2. I am sorry Parker isn't feeling very well. That's no fun:( I hope you find out what is going on soon! I will have to ask Danny and Elise if they like their pediatrician, they live pretty close to you, so I will let you know.

  4. YAY!! No more work....at least for a while! I take my kids to Alpine Pediatrics. I LOVE Dr. Arnold (he's hard to get into though) and Jeff Abrham I also really like Dr. Pavitch. I took Bry in the other day and saw a PA her name was Kim...I think, but she was SUPER nice.
Anyway, good luck with little Parker. I hope he feels better soon. Have you tried the gas drops yet? They work really well too.
Well, don't forget to call me if you ever want to split a shift. 801-471-3052 =) Keri
