Also Parker has had issues with going to the bathroom which again we've tried just about everything when my boss (thank you Lauri) told me about Miralax.. a teaspoon a day keeps the doctor away...it's been a total miracle drug...Anyway so today once again he had a total blow out! He had the tubby and the whole works and all I could do was just laugh (which is much easier to do when you got a decent nights sleep) I don't think anything is ever going to be easy with Parker. Thank goodness he's so cute and most of the time happy. He's been a big challenge for our family but a huge blessing. He's so loving and cuddly and full of life. I can only imagine how he's going to be as he get's older :D

SOME DAYS YOU JUST HAVE TO LAUGH
So as you all know I've had issues with Parker sleeping. He does better then reverts back to his old habits. Sometimes I think he knows exactly what he's doing because every time I decide I'm at my wits end he decides to sleep! You don't realize how quickly they learn to get what they want:) Anyway so needless to say Parker slept good last night, which is ironic because I'm pretty sure he's coming down with a cold. Last night he was sneezing like crazy and he still is this morning and he's got a snot nose. Poor thing get's over one thing and get's something else. We've tried starting him on solids which he loved the first night, but by the third he wanted nothing to do with it, typical Parker. I've decided I've got a real stubborn one on my hands. I've tried all sorts of combinations with his cereal, but kind of like formula once he decides he doesn't want it there's no reasoning with him. Although he's decided that apple juice isn't too bad (he wanted nothing to do with this at first either) So now we just sneak it in his bottles at nights and he gobbles it down.

have you tried mixing his cereal with juice instead of milk/water? brynnlie loved that. also, brynnlie having her bathroom problems...we didnt do rice cereal, the dr told us oatmeal wouldn't constipate her like the rice. but recently we have been doing the gerber 8 grains and yogurt cereal and she LOVES it mixed with juice and it helps her potty :)
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of Miralax? I lived on that stuff for years and Kayston used it too. I forgot about it since you can't get it in prescription now and it's way more expensive. But, if it helps it's worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteKeep hanging in there. Have you had the doctor check his belly? You might want to and be persistent about it. With his poop problems and strange eating habits he might have something making him uncomfortable. Good luck!!
I love eight hours of sleep. I don't think I could function without it, especially having to work 8 hours a day. Thank goodness Avery sleeps pretty well now. I hope Parker can get on a schedule of sleeping through the night because everyone is more happy after a good night sleep.
